Gray has volunteered as a career
counselor at the YWCA for the past year. In his new role, Gray will manage the
YWCA’s career services program that features one-on-one career counseling,
assessment tools including Myer-Briggs Personality Preference Indicator and the
Strong Career Interest Inventory, career workshops and the 40+ Career Search
series. Also, the program features assistance with the job search process such
as resumes, interviewing, networking, using the computer and more.
The YWCA will reopen its Career
Resource Center complete with job search material and free computer access when
the facility opens its remodeled building this summer.
Gray says he’s very pleased to become
a part of a nonprofit organization with a career program dedicated to providing
personalized career services for a wide range of career professionals.
“I enjoy working with the clients who
range in age from 20 to 80 and walks of life,” said Gray. “It is very rewarding
to work with clients who become decisive and focused related to their career or
successfully land an attractive job.”
The YWCA’s Career Services Program
also features volunteer professional career counselors who work with clients
regarding their specific career needs.
