DID YOU KNOW...
The YWCA of Boulder County
is part of a
global organization uniting 25 million
women in 122 countries. |
|
Over 150 women have chosen to help Boulder County families by
becoming members of the YWCA of Boulder County. Membership is only $50, and
funds programs that support those in need.
-
Each year the YWCA of Boulder County assists over 4000 Boulder
residents. Even if you have never needed our services, you or someone important
to you may need them in the future. Losing a spouse or job, needing emergency
childcare, feeling confused or experiencing low self worth -- these things can
happen to any of us or to the people we love.
-
Members support programs which serve women and their families
at critical points in their lives, making a difference in the quality of life in
our community.
-
Members take part in YWCA decision-making by serving on
committees and boards.
-
YWCA memberships are transferable and honored in every YWCA in
the U.S.
-
Members receive regular updates from the YWCA of Boulder
County, including annual reports, newsletters, and invitations to special
events.
- $50 provides emergency childcare for five children at
Children’s Alley.
- $75 provides training for five parents to cope with divorce.
- $100 puts a laid off worker on a focused job search, including skills and
interest assessment, resume help and a support group.
- $150 sponsors an EDGE program to empower girls and teach them the skills to stay
resilient in the face of difficulty.
