Amanda Piper Chief Executive Officer
Amanda moved to Colorado 2 years ago from her alma mater (Bachelor’s), Auburn University in Alabama where she served as an alumni Director of Marketing/Communication for almost 9 years. Prior to that, she spent 8 years in television marketing and 7 years in non-profit fundraising/management. Amanda also has her Master’s Degree in Public Relations from Emerson College (Boston), and describes New England as one of her favorite places. In her free time, she loves Auburn football and spending time with her teen-age daughter who has just started to compete in Irish Dance. They also raise foster puppies, and Amanda is a certified dog trainer having taught hundreds of puppies in “Puppy Kindergarten” classes which she developed. 303-443-0419 x101

Ashley Bruscoe Development Director
Ashley joined YWCA in the summer of 2015 and is thrilled to be a part of our accomplishments in Boulder County. She loves nonprofit work and has spent over a decade in the industry, advocating for issues such as environmental conservation, empowerment of at-risk youth, and elimination of hunger for the elderly and disabled. She is especially passionate about our mission and is excited to work towards strengthening families through Children’s Alley programming. In her free time she can be found running on trails, creating nifty furniture from wood, and reading up on the latest studies in behavioral economics. 303-443-0419 x115

Karen Hada Operations Director
Like her job at the YWCA, Karen’s background is varied. Moving to Colorado in 1996, she used her mechanical engineering degree from the University of Delaware to design wheelchairs and manufacture implantable hearing aids. After a seven-month traveling adventure throughout Asia and a reassessment of life’s priorities, Karen found value alignment working at the YWCA, and has been here since 2003. Karen has been renovating her house with strawbales and loves spending time in the outdoors with husband, Ian, a structural engineer, 2 year old daughter, Etta and her dog, Peggy. 303-443-0419 x105

Marianne Hogan Business Director
Marianne is originally from Quebec, Canada, and grew up competing in triathlons. For college, she moved to San Diego in order to be a part of the San Diego track and field team where she was team captain for three years, ran 10K, and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Masters in Business Administration. Marianne moved to Colorado in October 2014 in order to get closer to the mountains, as she enjoys all things outdoors. She especially loves running, hiking, snowboarding and yoga. 303-443-0419 x116

Elly Johnson Program Manager
Elly relocated to Boulder in August 2016  from SW Colorado, where she lived for four years in Telluride. She has over 10 years of experience working in various non-profits and has a deep passion for social justice. While living in Telluride, Elly was the Advocate Manager for the San Miguel Resource Center, an interpersonal violence crisis center for women, children, and families. In this role, Elly managed the volunteer program, worked directly with clients, and taught prevention education programs in the local schools focused on anti-violence, oppression, racism, bullying, and being an upstander. She has wide and varied experience working with youth in the United States as well as in several Latino countries, where she became fluent in spanish, leading empowerment programs for young girls and facilitating experiential education programs intersecting, social and natural environments and issues. 303-443-0419 x104

Leah Koliha Family Services Director
Leah is a Colorado native, and has spent the last 12 years moving around the northern front range completing her schooling. She has a Bachelors in Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Masters in Education and Human Development from the University of Colorado Denver. Leah’s passion for working with children has been life-long and includes experience with newborns through college-age students, with particular interest in assessing the effects of  developmental and environmental impacts on their future successes. She is excited to share her expertise in child development with the families and teachers of Children’s Alley. Kate Pennella Program Director
Prior to joining YWCA in May 2013, Kate was responsible for marketing and member services at the International Titanium Association.  She previously spent 13 years as the Program Director at Colorado State University, where she administered graduate and professional programs. Kate graduated from Michigan State with a BS in Education and Psychology and completed her MPA at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She enjoys international travel and road biking with her husband, Ed. They have a tandem bicycle which they have ridden across Hawaii, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado and Italy. Renee Rieder Office Manager
Renee grew up in Minnesota yet has spent half of her life in Denmark. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in International Relations and Affairs and obtained a second Bachelors Degree in Information Technology from Roskilde Business College in Denmark.  Renee moved to Boulder in 2007, and her passion for the empowerment of women and issues regarding racism brought her to YWCA Boulder County. She lives in Boulder with her sons Angelo and Andre. Renee enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and cooking. 303-443-0419 x100

Tara Skredynski Program Manager
Tara has over 7 years of experience teaching college level courses on education in the higher education system here in Colorado.  She has over 5 years of management experience where she was involved in professional development training and coaching with staff members.  She has worked with a very diverse group of over 500 individuals and clients. She is a member of the Colorado Career Development Association where she has completed her Career Development Facilitator credential. She has a BS degree in Communication and an MA in Educational Psychology. 303-443-019 x112

Vicki Tiedeman Bookkeeper
Vicki came to YWCA as a volunteer in 2006. She has a degree in Elementary Education from Valparaiso University and is a certified massage therapist. Vicki spent many years as a stay at home mother to her two daughters, Rachel and Emily, and as a community volunteer. In her free time, Vicki enjoys storytelling, playing the fiddle, hiking, biking, baking, and reading fiction. 303-443-0419 x107
