Latina Achievement Support, or LAS, is a grant-funded program that supports high school students towards both academic and interpersonal success. YWCA Boulder County collaborates with Boulder area schools on programs designed to close the achievement gap that often exists for Latina students. We offer activities during and after school such as:
- Academic support and tutoring
- Community involvement and volunteer opportunities
- College prep and school visits
- Field trips
- Life skills workshops on topics ranging from drug and alcohol abuse to personal finance
Interested in volunteering with LAS? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
In 2015, 93% of Latina Achievement Support seniors graduated high school and plan to continue their education.
