Development & Marketing Coordinator

About You

As the Development and Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving the fundraising and communications efforts that fuel our organization's mission and strategic goals. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to execute programs, support communities, and enhance our overall reach. Whether you are an experienced fundraising professional or someone passionate about making a difference, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to our mission. You will provide essential administrative and technical support to the team, ensuring the seamless coordination of outreach efforts and elevating donor engagement through excellent communication and relationship-building. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Coordinator assists with the planning, development, and implementation of YWCA Boulder County’s marketing and development plans. This is a full-time, exempt position at 40 hours per week. Some weekends and evenings are necessary.   

  • Fundraising & Donor Engagement

    • Supports the Director of Development and CEO in other fundraising and donor engagement 

    • Works with finance team to ensure accurate recording of all donations 

    • Updates and maintains marketing and fundraising CRM and related files 

    • Builds relationships with donors, contractors, and vendors in a professional and inclusive manner 

    • Assists with planning, execution, logistics, and follow-up for all fundraising events including designing and executing email campaigns, print mailings, event collateral, and social media content 

    • Ensures timely and accurate data entry, data hygiene, donor acknowledgements, and recommends process improvements 

    Marketing & Communications

    • Ensures that the organization’s brand is consistently and appropriately represented both internally and externally 

    • Assists in responding to news and events relevant to our advocacy and public policy positions 

    • Assists in the creation, implementation, and measurement of YWCA marketing and communications channels including social media and editorial content 

    • Maintains, edits, and updates the website 

  • Required Qualifications 

    • Demonstrated skill and experience in email campaigns, writing/editing, social media outreach, content marketing, and website maintenance 

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team 

    • Excellent at organizing, managing details, and completing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with thoroughness, accuracy, timeliness, and good humor 

    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Google Drive; Canva; Asana; CRM, website, social media, and email marketing platforms 

    • Experience with donor or client relationship building 

    • Special event planning experience 

    • Have a strong commitment to programs and services that address community issues 

    • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and solve problems

    Education 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

    Preferred Qualifications 

    • Bilingual in Spanish or working knowledge of Spanish 

    • Two plus years of experience in nonprofit marketing and communications or fundraising and donor services 

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Young Women+ Achievement Advocate

YWCA Boulder County is seeking a Young Women+ Achievement Advocate intern for the Spring 2026 semester.

The Young Women+ Achievement Advocate reports to the Director of Community Engagement and Equity. They will work directly with 9-12th grade BIPOC and LGBTQ+ high school students in Boulder County, helping to close the achievement gap and providing specialized support. YW+A advocates provide a space where students can build upon the strengths and resources of their community and understand the challenges, they may face in reaching their goals. YW+A provides positive youth development through programming and connecting to other organizations in Colorado. This position requires a commitment to the work and mission of YWCA Boulder County and supervision of youth. This is a part-time position averaging 16 hours a month (4 hours a week). January 2026 – May 2026.

Mission Statement:

    • Recruits and retain students for YW+A group at assigned area high school in Boulder County.

    • Develops and maintains relationships with school staff, counselors, teachers.

    • Provides tutoring and mentoring.

    • Helps plan and chaperone students on college visits, field trips, volunteer, and other extra-curricular activities.

    • Adheres to all protocols of using school space, resources.

    • Develops/coordinates programming and leads empowerment group meetings held at the school site, such as Life skills topics (wellness, study skills, adapting to change, issues of relevance) and college readiness/career planning based on the school’s schedule.

    Administrative: 

    • Coordinates and attends monthly meeting at assigned school.

    • Collects and enters data on student attendance and grades/graduation rates into spreadsheets. 

    • Administers Pre/Post program surveys, collects Pre/Post surveys; enters data.

    • Coordinates logistics for activities, including refreshments, room location, AV set-up, reservations, etc. 

    • Administers and collects any necessary field trip or participation permission slips when applicable.

    • Communicates regularly with school liaison and students; sets up regular meetings with liaison.

    • Timely and clear communication skills 

    • Experience working with multicultural audiences and/or underrepresented youth 

    • Eligible to work in the U.S. 

    • At least 18 years of age 

    • Reliable form of transportation 

    • Available during school, afterschool hours (to be arranged with high school site) 

    • Available to attend regular staff meetings with Manager

    • Spanish proficiency or fluency  

     Education: 

    • Current college student entering Junior year, Senior year or Graduate level

    • Course credit for enrolled students

    • Semester stipend ranges from $1,000 to $1,250

Early Childhood Education Teacher

Reporting to the Director of Persimmon Early Learning (PEL), the Early Childhood Education Teacher r is responsible for providing a caring and creative classroom environment. Qualified to care for ages ranging 8 weeks through 6 years. This is a Full time/Exempt position at 40 hours per week.

Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Classification: Non-Exempt or Exempt depending on candidate background

Pay Range: $26/hour

    • Minimum of one year verified experience

Volunteer, Reading to End Racism

Reading to End Racism (RER) is a grassroots organization founded in 1998 by a group of retired local teachers. They saw racism and discrimination in their classrooms and wanted to create a safer, more supportive educational environment for local students. YWCA Boulder County became involved with the program in 2006, originally providing office space and eventually adopting the program in 2013 to help it continue and grow.

Reading to End Racism (RER) is an inter-generational literacy program designed to engage K-5th grade students with books and personal stories, and spark discussion about eliminating racism, bullying and discrimination. RER provides training, resources and support for volunteers, teachers and parents to talk with their children about racism and discrimination.
