STEM E3 is a hands-on, real-world, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program primarily to empower girls of color in sixth through eighth grade across Boulder County, emphasizing education, employment and entrepreneurship.
STEM E3 provides education opportunities, career exploration and mentorship for students through introductory jam sessions, visits and panel discussions with local and national women in tech leadership.

In 2019, YWCA Boulder was selected as one of two YWCA branches in the country to be awarded a grant by Google.org to increase Black and Latinx students’ access to computer science and artificial intelligence education.
Today, YWCA Boulder County’s STEM program has grown to include introductory Jam Sessions and Workshops for a deeper dive into a STEM area of interest, including healthcare and biomedical technology, networking and connectivity, business technology, and computer science.
