The 3rd Annual YWCA Dash and Bash celebrated our powerful mission to empower women and eliminate racism. We raised more than $30,000 thanks to our sponsors, team captains, fundraisers, and donors!
We were honored to be joined by Dolores Huerta at our closing ceremony! An American labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the National Farmworkers Association, which later became United Farm Workers (UFW), Huerta gave encouraging and practical advice about taking action in our communities to create change, including exercising our right to vote. You can view the Dash & Bash closing ceremony, including Huerta’s inspiring words, on our YouTube site.

Dancing with Boulder Stars has been postponed from November 2020 to June 2021.
Based on the hit TV show, this event features local celebrities, business people and community leaders who are partnered with local professional dance instructors. The pairs undergo an exhilarating rehearsal process, which culminates in a competitive dance competition. Audience members and fans of the pairs “vote” for their favorite by making donations to YWCA Boulder County. Each pair will compete for the event championship by striving for the highest total in donations (efforts led primarily by the celebrities). These contributions support essential services in our community, such as emergency drop-in child care, youth empowerment programs, and racial equity programs.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in being a dancer or pro in 2021, please contact Brittny Wilson at email@example.com.
Thanks and stay tuned for more details soon!
Your company or organization can put its values into action by sponsoring one of our fundraising events. An event sponsorship is truly a transformational gift that is multiplied many times and helps us meet our fundraising event goals to fuel the YWCA’s programs and services. Many businesses will also utilize an event sponsorship to demonstrate their commitment to the community and gain exposure with our event attendees and organization supporters (often directing a sponsorship from their marketing budgets).
Our event sponsorships are flexible and customizable to ensure it is mutually beneficial, and offer benefits including: event and award naming opportunities, awards presentation, logo in event presentations and programs, recognition in our monthly YWire eNewsletter, social media mentions, complementary event tickets, exclusive trainings for your employees, and more!
