Short-term Child Care

In addition to our tuition-based contract child care, Persimmon Early Learning offers short-term contract child care on a space-available basis. Please read our guidelines below and contact Celina Hernandez at chernandez@ywcaboulder.org with any questions.

  • Availability of short-term child care is based on classroom spaces open.

  • Fill out our Request for Care Form and a Persimmon Early Learning staff member will follow up with you.

  • After making your request, you will be contacted with a confirmation and sent a link to our enrollment forms. All enrollment forms must be completed prior to receiving care. Forms on file must be updated annually.

  • To help us provide quality care, please inform us whether the child has any special needs, allergies, and/or medication use. Any medication needs MUST be reviewed by the school nurse prior to care (no exceptions).

  • Upon acceptance of your request, we will inform you of the cost of the short-term contract.  Download Persimmon Early Learning Drop In Sliding Scale Rates April 2021 for more information. Proof of income is required to receive reduced rates.

  • We encourage families to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time so that parents/caregivers have an opportunity to connect with their child’s teacher.

  • Children cannot be dropped off between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to avoid nap time interruptions.

  • "I have been impressed with the quality of care and attention to the individual child. The nutrition, movement, and yoga classes have been fundamental to the development of my daughter. She picks up on the lessons and the learning is evident in other contexts."
